Africa Rural Mission (ARM)
A ministry committed to training and equipping ethnic groups, enabling them to go and reach people of their own culture with the Good News of Christ Jesus. The Word of God says; “ …...the Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor….” ( Luke 4:18 )
We use different “platforms” which we believe demonstrate the Love of the Lord….. deeds are important, people are tired of hearing meaningless words. These “platforms” establish relationships, expressing Gods love to the poor, opening hearts to respond to His Word.
This ministry was founded in 1975 among the Zulu people, with the purpose of reaching out to the rural poor and helping them to help themselves.
Different areas in South Africa were targeted and a mission base was established near Tzaneen in the North of the country in 1987/8.
The mission went across the borders to
Malawi and Zambia, where we started a mission at the Banguweulu lakes in 1996.
In 2000 we started a ministry in the Congo. As we felt the need to move Northward into Africa, the mission property in S. Africa was donated to a welfare ministry called The Lords Abode. They are carrying on with ministry among the rural poor as they follow the Lords direction.
VISION
Africa has about 70% of its population livingin rural places.
These poor people have been overlooked and left behind in many ways.
It is our vision to take the Gospel to them, to disciple and train them and to reach out to their own ethnic groups and culture.
We believe with all of the many differentethnic groups, cultures and languages in
Africa, each of these Nations know their own People the best and will therefore be the most effective to reach them with the Great
Commission. “…….go and make disciples of all Nations…...” ( Math. 28:19 )
